The cover page shows a old man which seems pretty wise and I supose he is the Giver beacuse he seems like someone who might fit the name "The Giver". It seem that he is the onlyone in the society who has the knowldge of pain, pleasure, war all that stuff that apparently all human dont know. And the main character which I supose it is Jonas is soon to take the title of "The Giver" but I think he does not agree that only one person gets to know all of that and the whole society is ignorant to that. So I think he is going to QUESTION his society like all distopia. And he will probably start a rebellion.
Maybe the quote "For all the children to whom we entrust the future." means that children are the future. And so she dediactes this book to those who will shape the future and by showing this book they want to make children realize that what makes us what we are is our human sense. Like by everyones individuality so to respect that and and see it as a good thing, by giving the example of the giver by showing that individuality is what makes us special.
Well I think this book will go along with Divergent beacuse maybe Jonas doesn´t agree the form his society is ruled by and when he gets selected to be the next Giver is like when Tris knows she is Divergent so I inferere that Jonas like Tris will take advantage of that and start maybe a rebellion and maybe win or not but still give the message that this society is wrong. And so his message will spread and new rebellion will start. That will only happen if he somehow fails like getting captured or even killed but if he wins he will give every person its individualty.
